Soul Surfer
Soul Surfer PG 1-55
My book is Soul Surfer by Rick Bundschuh. A book that reminds me of this book is "MEG: A Novel Of Deep Terror" because both books talk about a shark attack that happened.
Rick Bundschuh is a pastor, speaker, writer, cartoonist and also a surfer. Rick was born in the 50's in San Diego near the ocean. In 1996 Rick moved to Kauai, Hawaii. Currently Rick lives in Poipu, Hawaii with his wife Lauren and their kids. Rick taught at Kauai Christian Fellowship as a pastor and continued as a Cartoonist. Rick had a two page column in Surfer Magazine creating cartoons in the magazine.
Bethany Hamilton lives in Kauai, Hawaii with her mom and dad and her two brothers. Her whole family enjoys surfing. Bethany and her best friend Alana grew up together competing. Bethany has a choice to go to her mission trip with the church or keep training for the competition. Both Alana and Bethany get sponsored for rip curl ( a company that sponsors surfers).
